ABOUT THE KAMINSKI ARENA

The Kaminski Arena is a Centennial arena built in 1967 and is the centre of activity for the town and surrounding area during the winter.  This facility provides the opportunity for young children (ages 3-10) to learn how to skate, through our Can Skate program.  The school uses the arena daily for its physical education programming.  We have a minor hockey program that involves youth from Churchbridge and surrounding communities.  The arena is home to an adult rec team providing a fun recreation option for those wanting to continue to play hockey.  The facility is also rented by groups and teams who use the ice for additional skating and games.

While the Churchbridge arena is owned by the Town of Churchbridge it is operated by a group of volunteers who are responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the facility.  This group of volunteers, the Arena Board is elected during its annual meeting in September.  The volunteers determine the plans, priorities and functions for the rink as well as fund raises for improvements to the arena.
